J.W. Edmondson, 71, of Holly Pond passed away Monday, October 6, 2014. He was born in Marshall County to Stonewall Jackson "Stony" and Lula Mae Herring Edmondson. He was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church and had been assistant manger at Southern States.

Mr. Edmondson was predeceased by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jaohn Edmondson; son, Randall (Sherry) Edmondson; brother, Bobby Edmondson; brother-in-law, Billy (Doris) Smith; two grandchildren, Amanda (Kevin) Guthrie and Adam (Lindsay) Edmondson; five great-grandchildren, Reese Guthrie, Mila Edmondson, Titus Edmondson, John Luke Guthrie and Willow Rae Edmondson; and a host of other family and friends.

Conducting the service will be Rev. Adam Edmondson and Rev. Theron Robertson. Pallbearers will be Henry Lavourn, Kevin Guthrie, Tom Johnston, Rodney Bagwell, Roger Davis and Keith Davis.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, at Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel, followed by burial in Holly Pond Cemetery.
