George Seeley Foote was born at Williamston, Mich., January 23, 1864. He grew to namhood in the vicinity of his birth. In 1885 he was married to Kate A Fuller. To this union eight children were born. His wife and two daughters preceded him in death.
The surviving children are Dan of Bath, Mich., Cleo of Hill City, S.D., Reuel of Bancroft; Glenn and Mrs. Beulah Feicke of Yale, and Burr at home.
Mr. Foote came to South Dakota in 1887 and located near Erwin. In 1899 the family moved to the present home north of Yale. He resided there until five weeks prior to his death, when he was taken to a Huron Hospital for medical treatment. he died June 5, 1934.
Besides his children he is survived by two brother and four sisters all residing in Michigan, also 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
