Robert Randall "Randy" Weller, 81, of Kansas, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2014, at his home, surrounded by family. Randy was born Aug. 10, 1933, in Rochester, Indiana, to John and Oneita (Lowe) Weller. He married Marian Hetrick Jan. 27, 1951, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Clyde.
Randy attended Pickerington High School and became a millwright for Lima Army Tank Plant, retiring in 1994. He was a member of Burgoon United Methodist Church. Randy enjoyed golfing, woodworking, archery and working with the "Kids Club." He was a pilot and taught 4-H Tractor Club. His biggest joy was spending time with his family.
Surviving Randy are his wife, Marian; nine children, Brenda (Bob) Stull, Joyce Johnson and John (Pam) Weller, all of Kansas, Wes (Peg) Weller of New Riegel, Mary (Wes) Williams of Helena, Scott (Linda) Weller of Bettsvile, Tim (Brenda) Weller of Pemberville, Linda (Mike) Young of Brooksville, Florida, and Marschell "Schelly" (Ray) Weng of Kansas; 32 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and four siblings, David Weller of Sebastian, Florida, Janice Nelson of Leiters Ford, Indiana, Brent Bartholamew of Indiana and Parmalee (Alex) Pocs of Norwalk.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Caralee Gordon; and four grandchildren, Tracey, Angelica, Steven and James.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, 2014, at Herman-Kinn-Karlovetz Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 900 North St., Fremont, OH 43420, (419) 332-7391. Services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Bauman officiating. There will be a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Seneca Memory Gardens, Tiffin. Contributions, in Randy's memory, may be made to Burgoon United Methodist Church.
