William (Bill) Collins was born the son of an Irish Immigrant in Christian Co. Illinois. In Feb of 1868, His father John B. Collins. His mother, Mary A. Whitney. married in 1860. William's father and step-mother are both in this cemetery.(John died in 1903 and John 2nd wife Mary Trusly, died in 1907). He came to Oklahoma with his father for the land rush in 1892 and 1893 where he meets Mahala Catherine Ferguson. They married in 1894 and had a son in 1897. and divorced by 1900 Wm and his son are living with Wm's father in Ponca City 'K' County Territory of Oklahoma
side note; Mahala Ferguson is remarried to Tom Carman and
is living in Sidney Iowa by 1900.
when Wm's step-Mother passed away in 1907 son Clyde went to live with his Mother (Mahala now Carman) who lived in Fremont Co Iowa.
found Wm remarried in 1903 to Lou Centerfield from Purcell, Oklahoma I.T.
