Mrs. Bonnie Sue Reeves Ashburn passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 3, 1927 in Forsyth County to the late Lattie Guy Reeves and Lettie Odell Creed Reeves. Mrs. Ashburn was a longtime member of Rural Hall Moravian Church where she was a choir member, children’s Sunday School teacher, President of the Women’s Fellowship, and church treasurer for over 30 years.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Ashburn was preceded in death by a sister, Opal Freeman. Surviving are her loving husband of 68 years, Samuel Odell Ashburn; two daughters, Sara Tucker (Tom) and Sue Ashburn; two grandsons, Adam Tucker (Liz) and Zachary Tucker; two great-granddaughters, Avery and Grace Tucker; one sister, Shelvia Jean Whitman (Tommy); and also, several nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 13 at Rural Hall Moravian Church with the Rev. James C. Newsome, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Rural Hall Memorial Park.
