Golden Adams - born May 17, 1914 to Earl and Rosa Christiansen Adams in Thatcher (their first of nine children.) Graduated from Bear River High School and Seminary. Loved athletics and was a "super" pitch playing for the Tremonton-Garland baseball team. Played on the ward M-Men basketball team. Married Effie Eldridge and was father of two sons. Lost his life in an auto accident while in the service of his country as a T3C in the army on November l, 1945 in Leige, Belgium.

Surviving are his wife and two sons, Dennis Glen and Steven Lynn; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. Earl Adams; and the following brothers and sisters: Sgt James O. Adams in Florida, Dean Adams, a marine in the Pacific; Eldon, Reed and Grant Adams, Tremonton; Mrs. James N. Hall and Mrs. Lynn Walters, Magna and Mrs. Florence Udy of Riverside.

Funeral services for T 3- Golden D. Adams, 31, who died Nov. 1, 1945, in Liege, Belgium as the result of an automobile accident which occurred while he was on active duty, will be conducted Saturday at 1 p.m. in the Thatcher ward chapel by James Wight, bishop.

Mr. Adams was born May 17, 1914, in Thatcher, a son of Dennis Earl and Rosa Christiansen Adams. He was reared in Thatcher and was a graduate of Bear River high school. He was a member of the L.D.S. church was an elder in the Thatcher ward at the time of his death. A well-known athlete, he was a football player at Bear River high school and played on the Tremonton-Garland baseball team and the Thatcher ward M-Men basketball team. He was inducted into the army December 7, 1943 and received his basic training in Aberdeen, Maryland, later serving at Fort Lewis, Wash. He served in France and Germany.

Mr. Adams married Effie Eldridge, Dec. 22, 1937 in the Salt Lake LDS temple.

Surviving are his parents, Thatcher; his widow and two sons, Dennis Glenn, 8, and Stephen Lynn, 5, of Brigham City; two grand mothers, Mrs. Priscilla Adams and Mrs. Mary Ann Christiansen, Tremonton, five brothers, James O., Eldon E., Reed C., and Grant E. Adams, all of Tremonton, and Dean H. Adams, Brigham City, and three sisters, Mrs. Lucille Walters and Mrs. Juanita Hall, Magna, and Mrs. Dale Udy, Riverside.

Friends may call at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Dennis Earl Adams, Thatcher, Friday evening and Saturday to time of services. burial will be in the Brigham City cemetery.
