INEZ IRENE OESTERREICHER
Inez Irene Oesterreicher, daughter of Harriet and Edmund Keen, was born February 24, 1884 near Medora and passed away at her home in New Virginia June 8, 1967, at the age of 83 years, 8 months and 12 days.
In 1906 she was united in marriage to Eric J. Burchett. To this union were born three sons: Everett, Leonard, and Harold; and one daughter, Iris, who died in infancy. Her husband died in 1918 leaving her with the three sons whom she raised in the home of her parents. In 1942 she was married to Frank Oesterreicher who preceded her in death in 1952.
She is survived by her sons, Everett of Medora, Leonard of Liberty, and Harold of Odessa, TX; one brother, I. W. Keen of Indianola; four step children: Bess Chase of Osceola, Ross Oesterreicher of Woodburn, [Mrs. Leon or Edith] Thompson of Chicago, and Millie Carter of Osceola, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren and 32 great grandchildren; and many friends and neighbors.
Most of her life was spent in Warren County. She was a member of the Christian Church.

Married 1) Eric Joseph Burchett July 3, 1906 in Indianola, Warren Co, IA. They had 4 children, Everett Stanley, Leonard Leslie, Harold Walter and baby daughter Iris who died. Eric died in 1918.
Married 2) Francis George "Frank" Oesterreicher in 1942. He died in 1952 and is buried in Rising City, NE with his 1st wife Amanda.

[Frank and Amanda were my great grandparents. Amanda died in 1941. Frank died when I was 9 months old so I do not remember him. I do remember going to visit Inez at her home in New Virginia.
