Obituary:
Anna Cathrine, wife of Hans Rotness, residing six and one half miles east of Fosston, died quite suddenly last Thursday evening. She was about as usual until five o' clock in the afternoon, when she received a paralytic stroke and died two hours after, retaining consciousness, however, up to half an hour before she died.

Anna Cathrine Rotness was born in Norway on March 19th, 1855 and would have been 65 years of age next month. Coming to America about 41 years ago, she lived near Ada for a few years before they came to this section, settling upon their homestead at the time the thirteen townships were opened to settlement. She has lived there continuously since that time and was most highly esteemed by all who knew her.

Besides her husband, a family of six children survive her, five girls and one boy. They are Maria, Mrs. Halvor Olson; Jennie, Mrs. E. Myhre; Laura, Mrs. Adoph Tangen; Hilma, Anna and John Rotness. Two sons died when infants.

The funeral was held Wednesday of this week at 1:30 from the house, the remains being laid away in the Kingo, MN church cemetery.
