Clark was born on May 4, 1945 in Ft. Madison Iowa, the son of Wesley and Bernice Dunn. On July 21, 1984 he married Lori Troxell in Libertyville, Illinois, she survives.
He was a graduate of Dallas City High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force as an F-101 Crew Chief from 1965 - 1969. Afterwards, Clark worked as a mechanic for Melton's Automotive in Dallas City, owned/operated his own dump truck, and farmed. In addition he drove semi for John Haage and worked at Skerricks. In 1980 he became a full-time Rural Mail Carrier in Niota, IL - taking over the same route that his father had retired from. Clark retired from the US Postal Service in 2007. During his mail carrier years, he also owned and operated Main Street Repair in Colusa - servicing small engines and lawn mowers. After Clark's retirement, he drove a dump truck for Scanlan and Sparrow Trucking.
Clark was an excellent mechanic and could fix anything. He loved to fish and travel, especially to Texas. That love of Texas carried over to his favorite sports teams as well - The Dallas Cowboys, The Texas Rangers and of course the Texas Longhorns. He also loved cars and all forms of racing, NASCAR's Carl Edwards and especially go-karting with his youngest son and grandson. Clark loved mowing, helping people, working on his pond and spending time with his kids and grandchildren - especially his Fourth of July Fish Fry and Fireworks displays.
Clark was preceded in death by his father Wesley Dunn, his grandparents, George & Lulu Dunn, & grandmother, Nellie Clark, his beloved Grampa Henry Ray Clark, a brother-in-law, John Bannick, and a sister-in-law Pam Troxell.
