Brenda J. Todd, 72, of Midway, died Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Savannah.
Born in Savannah, she grew up in Screven County and lived in Midway since 1969. A retired bookkeeper, she worked at Saunders Hardware for seven years and with Vera Rambo Accounting Services for 10 years. She was an active member of Midway First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school and vacation Bible school.

She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Aubrey W. Todd Jr.; one son, Chris Todd (Robyn); one daughter, April Burriss (Charles), all of Midway; one sister, Patricia Wilson (Wendell) of Springfield; four grandchildren, Nathan and Madison Burriss, Kasie Burriss-Sexton and Austin Long; one great-grandson, Liam Sexton; and a special friend and caregiver, Tina Custer.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12, at Carter Funeral Home Oglethorpe Chapel. Her funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Midway First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.C. Wright officiating. Burial will be in Dorchester Cemetery.
