Mr. Zirkelbach was employed at Beckett Bronze until his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Eagles Lodge F.O.E. #231, American Legion Post #19, and enjoyed working puzzles, western and war movies, walking, and riding his bicycle.
Surviving are two sons, Mike Evans (wife-Rose) of Anderson and Jon Evans of Hill, NH; his daughter, Pattie Lackey (husband-Danny) of Muncie; three sisters, Patricia Ann Driscoll of Pickerington, OH, Charlene Riggins of Muncie, and Sandra Cox (husband-James) of Muncie; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Bertha Mae Zirkelbach; a son, Robert Eugene Zirkelbach; two sisters, Wanda Louise Zirkelbach and Wilma Palmer; and three brothers, Norbert, Stanley and John Zirkelbach.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, with Dr. Wade Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with Military Rites by Veterans of Delaware County and The US Army. Friends may call at the mortuary from 12:00 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Friday. Memorials may be directed to Forest Park Senior Citizens Center, 2517 W. 8th St., Muncie, IN 47302.
