OBITUARY: Mrs. Claus Larson of Pepin Area Died - reprinted from the March 8, 1951 Red Wing Republican Eagle

Mrs. Claus (Alma) Larson, 79, who had lived on a farm near Pepin for over 50 years, died at a local hospital Wednesday morning. She had been confined to the hospital for ten days.

The daughter of Carl and Anna Brostrom, she was born at Stockholm, Wisconsin on April 9, 1871 and was a member of the Mission Covenant Church at Lund, Wisconsin. Her husband died five years ago.

Surviving are four sons, Lawrence and Raynold at home; Edward of Red Wing and Edmund of Stockholm; four daughters, Mrs. Emil (Helen) Maxe of Red Wing; Mrs. Clarence (Lillian) Lundberg of Pepin; Mrs. Joe (Alice) Stein of Stockholm and Mrs. Carl (Irene) Swanson, Minneapolis; 20 grandchildren; four sisters and one brother.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Mission Covenant Church at Lund with Rev. Arthur Bergmans officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church from 12 noon to the time of the services on Saturday.
