Johnny Pinckney Allison, Jr.EVERGREEN, SC -- Johnny Pinckney Allison, Jr., 60, of Evergreen, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. He was born in Sumter, SC a son of the late John Pinckney Allison, Sr. and Bernice Clamp Allison. He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and worked for Rock Tenn (formerly Smurfit Stone) for 33 years. He loved his God, his family and fishing. He taught his sons love and compassion.Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Mary Lynn Waddell Allison, of Evergreen; children, Trae (Tara) Allison, III and Chase Allison, both of Florence and a sister, Cecile (James) Ard of Columbia.Memorials may be made to Evergreen Baptist Church Children's and Youth Ministries, 6316 Pamplico Highway, Effingham, SC 29541.Graveside services will be held at 4:00 PM Friday, October 17, 2014 in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 3 4 PM Friday in the Family Life Center of Evergreen Baptist Church.The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers and especially the love, support and strength provided by the Evergreen Community and the men of Rock Tenn.
