Mrs. Alice A. Gould
Mrs. Alice A. Gould, widow of the Rev. Francis A. Gould, an Episcopal clergyman of the Albany diocese for many years, died Friday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. Earl Lawrence, 86 Third street, Waterford, after a long illness.
Mrs. Gould, who was Miss Alice A. Shamp, was born in Perry and had resided in Saratoga County for 25 years, the last 16 of which were spent in Clifton Park, where the Rev. Mr. Gould was rector of St. George's Church. He also had served at East Line and All Saints' Church, Round Lake, the family residing at East Line.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Lawrence and Mrs. A. T. O'Connor of El Paso, Texas; a brother, Clinton Shamp of Buffalo, and three grandchildren, Alan F. Lawrence of Waterford and Clinton J. and Carol M. Gould of Mechanicville.
The funeral was at 2 p. m. today at Grace Episcopal Church, Waterford, where the rector, the Rev. James T. Kerr, officiated, assisted by the Rev. David C. Huntington, rector of St. Luke's Church, Mechanicville, and of St. George's Church, Clifton park. Burial was at Clifton Park.
