Mrs. Debra Sue Corky Meadows Thomas, 48, of the Eads Mill Road, Camp Creek, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005, at the Raleigh General Hospital in Beckley following a sudden illness. Born July 22, 1957, at Fort Atkinson, Wis., she was the daughter of Marie Polly Ellison Wile of Camp Creek, and the late Eldridge D. Meadows. She was a graduate of Spanishburg High School, Class of 1975, attended Bluefield State College and received her Associate Degree from Valley College in Princeton. Debra was an employee for the WV Department of Health and Human Resources in Beckley. She was a member of the Stovall Ridge Baptist Church near Camp Creek where she served as the church pianist. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her step father, William E. Wile along with her brother Keith Meadows. Survivors Her mother, Marie Polly Ellison Wile of Camp Creek, her husband of 8 years, John Grant Thomas of Camp Creek, Four children; Amy Beth McKinney and husband Michael of Flat Top, Ernest Carroll Rumer of Camp Creek, Ivan Edmund Rumer of Athens and Zachary Noel Howington and wife Stephanie of Bluefield. 2 grandchildren; Noah and Baby Boy Howington Brothers and Sister Gregory R. Meadows and wife Sarah of Gaithersburg, MD Teresa Ann Meadows and husband Timothy of Gray Court SC Bruce E. Meadows and wife Kimberly of Camp Creek Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, September 24, 2005 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Tommy Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the Jennings-Meadows Cemetery, Stovall Ridge, near Camp Creek. Friends may visit with the family today from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
