Gerald B. 'Jerry' Fish

CANEADEA - Gerald B. "Jerry" Fish, a former resident of Caneadea, died Wednesday (Oct. 15, 2014) at Jones Memorial Hospital, Wellsville.

He was born Sept. 23, 1925, in Rochester, a son of the late Leslie and Genevieve Denk Fish. On June 16, 1946, he married Norma Arnold, who survives.

He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II, serving from Nov. 17, 1943, to Nov. 2, 1945, and formerly owned and operated an auto body repair shop in Fillmore for many years. He later taught at Cattaraugus-Allegany BOCES in Belmont.

Jerry loved golfing and flying remote-control planes.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are his sons, Ron (Dina) Fish of Hilton, Larry (Sim) Fish of Cuba and Steve Fish of Belmont; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Mike (Nancy) Fish of Fillmore; and several nieces and nephews.

Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Houghton.
