David Peter Cada Died by suicide in his car while parked east of Belnap Springs in Lane Co approx mp. 14 on highway 126 near Deer crk rd. an area known as the clear lake cut off.
He was born Oct. 27 1968 to Robert Peter Cada and Mal-Pil(?) in LA county California.
He grew up in Gilcrest Oregon and resided in Bend Oregon for a time before moving to the Eugene-Springfield area. He did a variety of jobs but spent the last 7 years working as a Ridesource driver in Eugene. He was preceded in death by both his parents and had no siblings. He is survived by many many coworkers who cared very deeply about him. Especially by his close friends Sandy and Helen. He took joy in little kids and just watching them be kids. He enjoyed reading and riding his bicycle. He was kind and generous to all he met.
In Nov 2015 I was contacted by cousins of David who had been searching for him for years. Because of Davids distaste for social media, and his love of privacy, they never found him until they googled him and found his obituaries. They are devastated to find he took his own life without knowing he had family who cared for and searched for him. We are all thinking "what if" he knew.
David, if you could only see the grief and the hole you left in all of us. You apparently didn't know how deeply you were cared for by your coworkers and now your new found family. They are lovely people who searched for you.
David had many medical issues and made his wishes known in case his medical conditions incapacitated him.
Per his request, no services were held. He was cremated and his remains scattered per his request at a private location.
