"Riemkje Brouwer, daughter of Johnannes and Ybeltje Brouwer, was born on May 30, 1886, in the city of Bolsward, Province of Friesland, in the Netherlands. She came to the United States in 1911 and settled in Sparta. For many years, she worked in Sparta, Milwaukee, LaCrosse and Lake Forest, Illinois.

Riemkje passed away at St. Mary's hospital on Friday morning, June 11, 1965. Preceding her death were her parents, two brothers, and two sisters.

She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Alice Udulutch of Waukesha; and Mrs. Dena Deurloo of Sparta; a brother, Walter of Sparta; a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service was held at two o'clock Monday afternoon, June 14, at the Robert Page Funeral Home. The Reverend H. Raymond Voss officiated; internment was in the family lot in Woodlawn Cemetery. The following served as pallbearers: Walter and James Brower, Walter, James, Larry and George Deurloo."
