Green Valley - Rose L Guengerich, 89, of Green Valley, formerly of Delavan, passed away at 4:25 pm Monday, Sept. 15, 2008, at Mason City Area Nursing Home in Mason City.
She was born Jan 10, 1919, in Pekin, the daughter of Samuel and Rebbecca Brewer Woodley.
She married Ezra Guengerich on Aug. 19, 1938, in Manito and he died March 11, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters, Betty (Jim) Goodin, Pinson, Ala, and Myra Nehmelman, San Jose; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bob Guengerich; four brothers; and one sister.
Rose was a homemaker and farmed with her late husband in the Delavan area for many years. She also loved working in her yard and gardening.
She was a member of St Paul Lutheran Church in rural Manito, where her funeral will be at 10 am Saturday with the Rev Aloysius Majewski officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday at Davis Mortuary, Delavan Chapel. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery.

Ezra A. Guengerich, 81, ... died at 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 1998, at his home. Born Jan. 31, 1917, in Millington, Mich. to John and Ricka Schick Guengerich, he married Rose Lu Woodley on Aug. 19, 1937, in Pekin. She survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Myra Nehmelman of San Jose and Betty Goodin of Manassas Park, VA.; one son, Bobby of Houston; one brother, Pet of Manito; 11 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; one great-0great- grandson. Two brothers, one sister and one half-brother preceded him in death.
He was a farmer in the Spring Lake and Winkel areas, retiring in 1968. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Manito and Tazewell County Farm Bureau.
Services....burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery....
