Mrs. Ada Lee Stevenson Armstrong, 93, of Denver, Colo., and a former resident of Polk Lane, Columbia, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 1995.

Services were Saturday in St. James Primitive Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

Burial was in Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.

A native of Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Rev. George and Letha McKissah Stevenson, and was the wife of the late Ridley Armstrong Sr.

She was preceded in death by daughters Margaret Crowley and Minnie L. White and son Wallace Armstrong Jr. of Columbia.

Surviving are daughters Margaret (Joe) Williams of Denver, Inez Powell of Indianapolis, IN, and Eloise Armstrong of Columbia; son Ridley Armstrong Jr. of Columbia; step-mother Mrs. Willie M. Stevenson of Lawrenceburg; sister Georgia Douglas of Lawrenceburg; step-sister Terra L. Stevenson of Lawrenceburg; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; 17 great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were James Crawford, John Hogue, Hiawatha Orr, Dallas Rankins and Alvin Owens.
