In beautiful and impressive services Sunday afternoon, E. A. Menking was laid to rest, as host of friends and grieving relatives gathered to pay their last tribute. Services were held from the Robinson and Seydler funeral home, after which interment was made in the Greenwood cemetery.
Beautiful floral tribute fr. Menking s many friends were tokens of the love and respect which they felt for him, and at the cemetery made more beautiful his last resting place.
Rev. K. C. Minter, pastor of the First Methodist church, Rev. Hal Wingo, pastor of the First Baptist church, and Rev. C. W. Schlecht e, pastor of the Monthalia Methodist church, officiated at the services, and brought an inspiring message of faith and hope to those who gathered for the rites. After the services at the chapel, the cortège proceeded to Greenwood, where interment was made in the cemetery there.
Pallbearers were C. E. Ince, Theo Robertson, Mr. Bunton, Otto Neuhaus, Walter Mang, and Charles Hagen.
Mr. Menking, who passed away Saturday morning, was 58 years, 6 months, and one day of age at the time of his death.
