Jennie Elizabeth McAlexander was born at Columbus, Ohio, July 25, 1865, and died July 20, 1947 at Kansas City, Missouri, aged 82 years, five days.

At an early age she moved with her parents to Northwest Missouri.

She was married at Oregon, Missouri to James Fredrick Zook, who preceded her in death on December 25, 1943. One daughter, Frankie, and two sons, Franklin and Raymond Chester have also passed away.

Surviving are two daughters and four sons: Mrs. Anna B. Slocum, Mrs. Dortha Nowland, J. Wiley Zook, Amos E. Zook, Roscoe L. Zook, and Donald W. Zook. There are eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Also surviving are one sister, Mrs. Mary Bray and several nieces and nephews.

At an early age she became a member of the Christian Church.

Funeral services were held Saturday, August 2 at the Methodist Church in Skidmore, with the pastor, Rev. Wm. Thompson in charge. Music was supplied by Mrs. Maxine Merritt, Mrs. Laura Bramble, Fred Barrett and H.P. Botkin, accompanied by Miss Mabel Dysart. The pallbearers were Vernon Ward, Hallie Merritt, C.C. Knepper, Ralph Wright, H.P. Botkin and Fred Barrett. Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery.
