My grandfather was a great man who lived for his family. He was a really cool guy with a great sence of humor. He loved to ride his bike around town, always hunting for a bargain. He once even rode his bike to the hospital when he had a heart attack, My dad and I was picking my grandpa home from the hospital when grandpa asked my dad what we should do about his bike.
I have a wonderful memory of my grandfathers moneysaving ways. When I was a little girl, my grandparents were taking care of me and my sister while my parents were on holiday for a week. The little mermaid was shown at the movies and my sister who is five years older than me was taking me. Before my grandfather was going to drive us there, my sister asked for money, so we could buy popcorn. My grandfather said to my sister that we could pop popcorn at home and bring it with us. My sister who was a teenager wasn´t really happy about that, but we loved my grandfather so much that she didn´t say anything to him, we just went to the movies and had a great time.
My grandfather was also really creative, he turned a toy car my dad rode around on as a kid to a cart he could put the basket he put weeds and leaves from his plantation at his colony. He had to walk up and down a steep hill to walk to and from the house to the plantation.
My grandparents had a really happy marriage, they split the householdshores 50/50. I don´t think they ever disagreed on anything and I know that they never said anything unkind to eachother.
His other hobbies were needlework, crossword puzzles, cooking and gardening.

My grandmother died a few years ago, she started to get senile after my grandfather died and she passed away a few years ago at the age of ninety. The reason I have not put together a memorial here is because I don´t know if she would have wanted me to. My grandfather wanted a grave but decided before he passed that he wanted his ashes scattered in a memorialgarden so his family could visit because they want to and not because they have to.
