Stephen E. Kukoski Jr., age 67, a Manitowoc resident, died Wednesday evening, October 15, 2014 after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on August 5, 1947 in Manitowoc, son of the late Stephen Sr. and Lucille (O'Neil) Kukoski. Stephen was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1966. On August 5, 1972 he married Barbara Kalista at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Stephen was employed at Manitowoc Cranes for 37 years and was a member of the Boilermakers 443. He received an honorable discharge from the US Army. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, going to Shawano Lake, hunting, fishing, and was an avid Packers fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Kukoski.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Robyn & Dan Kressin, Chelmsford, MA; a grandson: Zachary Kressin and a granddaughter: Celina Kressin; a brother and sister-in-law: Jerry & Susan Kukoski, Manitowoc; a sister and brother-in-law: Mary Ann & Dennis Musial, Manitowoc; a brother-in-law: Ron (Marie) Kalista, Manitowoc; a sister-in-law: Mary (Jack) Jackson, Manitowoc, a niece: Kim (Dick) Behnke, three nephews: John (Shoko) Kalista, Japan, Tim Kalista, Manitowoc, David Kalista, Two Rivers.
Cremation has occurred at Blake Funeral Home, Chelmsford, Massachusetts. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, October 24, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi, Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be Rev. David Beaudry, with burial of his cremated remains at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.
The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi, Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc, on Friday, October 24, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m.
