Arthur Pramuk age74 of East Chicago, IN passed away Saturday November 28 1992 at Community Hospital in Munster. He is survived by wife, Helen; two sons, Arthur Ronald(Susan)Pramuk of East Chicago and Michael(Pamela)Pramuk of Whiting; nine grandchildren; three sisters, Marge(Joe)Hmurovich of Highland, Florence(late Albert)Kurella of Whiting and Jean(Kenneth)Hutchins of Whiting; numerous cousins, nieces and a nephew. Preceded in death by brother Edward in October 1992.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday December 1, 1992 at 9:30am at the Fife Funeral Home 4201 Indianapolis Blvd East Chicago and 10am at St Mary Church in East Chicago with Rev Theodore J Mens officiating. Burial will take place at Elmwood Cemetery in Hammond. Friends may call at Fife Funeral home at 2-5pm and 7-9pm Monday. American Legion will post colors 7:30pm Monday. Father Mens will hold a wake service at 8:30pm Monday
Mr Pramuk was a member of St Mary's Church of East Chicago and a Eucharistic Minister. Retired from Amoco (Standard Oil) Company after 42 yrs. of service. A US Army Air Force veteran of World War II (he flew 73 missions with the 451st Bomber Squadron and was the recipient of two Distinguished Flying Cross medals and the Air Medal. He was a life member of American Legion Allied Post #369 and a lifelong resident of the area.
