She was the daughter of the late George E. and Anna M. (Ford) Mundis.
Mrs. Abel was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Hanover, The Hanover Moose Ladies Auxiliary, and The Hanover Home Association, as well as the local and national A.A.R.P. Mrs. Abel retired from the former Revonah Spinning Mills in 1979 after 45 years of service as a lab technician.
Vivian was the loving wife of Nelson C. Abel, who departed this life April 19, 1983, and is survived by her adoptive family, Randy and Nancy Staub and their children, Stephanie and Alex, all of Hanover; two nephews, Barry Mundis of Glern Burnie, MD, and Rodney Abel of Spring Grove; and one niece, Judy Titus of Florida.
She was preceded in death by one son, Russell Abel; and one brother, George E. Mundis, Jr.
