MINEVILLE, N.Y. - William John Anderson Sr., age 91, of Main Street in Mineville, passed away on Tuesday, April 5th 1994 at the Community Hospital in Elizabethtown, N.Y.

He was born on January 15th 1903 in Mineville, N.Y., he was the son of John and Anna (Olsen) Anderson.

A lifelong resident of Mineville, N.Y., Mr. Anderson was retired from the Republic Steel Corporation in Mineville, N.Y.

He was a self employed Plumbing, Heating, and Electrical Contractor.

Mr. Anderson was a member of the Mineville/Witherbee Fire Department for more than 50 years, holding many offices and being honored in 1992 by Essex County and Town of Moriah for his many years of service to the area.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, the former Anna Huchro, one daughter, one son, five grandchildren, one great grandson and three nieces.

He was predeceased by three brothers; Andrew, Charles, and Robert Anderson, and two sisters; Jennie Tiffeny and Anna Anderson.

Arrangements by the Harland Funeral Home in Port Henry, N.Y.

Burial will be at a later date at the Sts. Peter & Paul's Cemetery in Moriah, N.Y.
