David Brooks


Bountiful -- David Ross Brooks, age 65, passed away Dec. 23, 1989 in a Salt Lake City hospital pf complications of cancer. he was born May 27, 1924, in Devils Slide, Utah, to David Lynn and Effie Brown Brooks.

He married Lueen Allen, Jan. 24, 1947 in Layton. He was an elder in the Val Verda Third Ward.

He worked at Ideal Cement Company. He retired from Hill Air Force Base after 33 years. He served in the Air Force for three years. He liked all sports.

He is survived by his wife and a son Kerry and his wife Patty and one granddaughter. Also surviving are sisters, Mrs. Don (Ethel) Taylor of Morgan and Mrs. Dell (Fay) Paskett of Riverton, Wyo. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Ferrell Butters and June Toone.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 12:00 noon at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary chapel, 295 N. Main, where friends may call 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery.
