Eulala Maude (Merritt) Beard, age 101, of Arlington, Texas, formerly of Snyder, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Arlington, Texas.
Family vistation will be on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 from 6 to 7 pm at Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral sevice is scheduled for Wednesday, October 22, 2014 at 10 am in the Wright Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Snyder Cemetery under the direction of Wright Colonial Funeral Home.
Mrs. Beard was born on December 16, 1912 in Snyder, Texas. She was a retired beautician.
Survivors include: Five Grandchildren, Gene Kenneth Strewart and Wife, Kellie of Plano, Texas, Stephen Lee Stewart of Fort Worth, Texas, Michael Todd Stewart and Wife Ashley, of Plano, Texas, James Harvey and wife Leandra, of Angleton, Texas, and Allison Stewart of Lipan, Texas. Three Great Grandchildren, Chad Stewart of Corpus Christi, Texas, Chad Stewart of Garland, Texas, and Parker Lee Stewart of Lipan, Texas. One Great Great Grandchild, Kent Stewart of Corpus Christi, Texas. Several nieces and nephews including Karen Jones of Arlington, Texas and Gilbert Merritt of Snyder, Texas
She was preceded in death by her parents; Joseph and Nancy Merritt; By One Daughter, Rosanell (Rosson) Stewart; By One Sister; Mamie Viola Deel; And by Six Brothers; Doris Vernie Merritt, James Roy Merritt, Edwin Moore Merritt, Bewel Winston Merritt, J.A. Merritt, Jr. and Woody Warren Merritt.
