Edith Adwell Chapmon was a daughter of the late Dell and Lillie Meredith Adwell and wife of the late Paul Chapmon.
She was an employee of the Horse Cave Sewing Factory, the Cave City Wigwam, The Louisville Store and a member of the Northtown United Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Roger and Garland Adwell, two sisters, Mayvonnie Chapmon and Alvene Coats , a niece Germaine Owen and two nephews, David Adwell and Danny Coats.
She is survived by a sister, Norma Jean Martin, a brother, Leo Atwell and his wife Marie all of Horse Cave. six nieces and nephews that she helped raise and loved as her own, Veronica Hughes and husband Eddie of Murfreesboro, Tennessee, Nell Jaggers and her husband Billy of Horse Cave, Kennetha Sanders and her husband Bobby of Cave City, Vickie Isenburg of Cave City, Perry Martin and his wife Shannon of Horse Cave, Kevin Martin and his wife Missy of Horse Cave and many other nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services held October 23, 2014 in the Chapel of Winn Funeral Home.
