He was born in Cambria Township on Nov. 28, 1892, a son of Jerry and Eva Golden Stump. He attended Wheeler School and lived at Ransom before moving to Frontier. He was a member of the Frontier United Brethren Church.
On Oct. 3, 1914, he married Ola McKibben, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Herbert Stump of Hillsdale, Rt. 3, and Lloyd Stump Jr., at home, two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Day of Lansing, and Mrs. Bessie Allen of Los Angeles, Calif.; a half sister, Mrs. Edna Cotton of Jackson; three brothers, L.G. Stump and Herman Stump of Jonesville, and Glenn Stump of Brooklyn; a half brother, Charlie Stump of Hillsdale, and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 at the Miner-Jessen Funeral Home in Hillsdale. the Rev. W.L. Linebrink of Stryker, O. will officiate, and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery in Ransom.
