Margaret Mary Vernick nee Malusa 46, died Thursday, 23 March, 2006, in Tucson. Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Rick, and is survived by her husband, Richard Vernick; daughters Elizabeth, Courtney, and Megan; grandchildren Nathaniel and Cora; parents, Rudy and Pat Malusa; sister, Susan; brothers Tom, Jim, and John; and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. Peggy came to Tucson with her family from Chicago in 1972. Thirty-four years later, her parents and siblings still live here, for the mountains and the desert and the sense of family, of home. Peggy loved mothering and homemaking. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 29, at the Valley Funeral Home, 2545 N. Tucson Blvd. Following the service she will be laid to rest with her brother Rick at Holy Hope Cemetery, 3555 N. Oracle.
