Cindy was one of my very best friends in grade school and as a young teenager. We were neighbors, and spent all our spare time together. Swiping her sister's 45's (for the younger people, 45s were little records with one song on each side) to sing along to, and trying to put them back before she found out! Talking about boys, and our "horrible" families... Just being typical teens!

I met Cindy in 4th grade, I do believe. Her family moved into the district after school had started, and I remember how shy she was! At recess I just walked right up to her, and said " You wanna be my friend?" And that was how our friendship started.

I loved her, and that's all I can say. We hadn't kept in close contact as we got older, and I sure wish we had.

She passed away suddenly at 48 years old. Her parents preceded her in death. Surviving are her daughter and grandson, three sisters and one brother, her nieces and nephews, and many friends.
