Annie Elizabeth Pettit Dulaney of Sugar Land, Texas passed away on October 20, 2014 while vacationing in Branson, Missouri. She was born in Smithville, Texas on January 12, 1938. Her life was full of friends, family, and travel. She was a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, a charter member of the Heritage Society of the Boy Scouts of America and a Silver Beaver Award recipient. Annie retired from the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America in 2000 after 45 years of faithful service. She was predeceased by her parents James B. and Bertha Estella Pettit and her parents-in-law, Hedrick and Mamie Dulaney. She leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband of 57 years, Charles Dulaney, her sister Stella Jean and husband Chuck Kennedy, her brothers Donald and wife Jean Pettit and James and wife Pam Pettit and sisters-in-law Madeline Ferrell and Mary Bridges and many other family members and a host of friends. Services to honor the life of Annie Dulaney will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 at Brookside Funeral Home. The viewing will begin at 9:00 AM until services and the services will begin at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park. Scouters from the Sam Houston Area Council Boy Scouts of America will serve as pallbearers. In lieu of flowers please donate to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of your choice.
