John Allen, aged 77, of Prattsville (Grant County) died Sunday.
He was a retired cattleman and fox hunter, a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and a 50-year member of the Grant County Democratic Committee.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Carris Hope Allen; three sons, Bill, Dick and Frank Allen, all of Prattsville; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Lou Harper of Prattsville, a sister, Mrs. Glyndel Halbert of Prattsville and five grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10 AM Wednesday at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church here. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery here by Buie Funeral Home of Sheridan.
