Funeral Services for Loyal Jerry Bennett were held at First United Methodist church. The Rev. Robert P. Nielson officiated. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
Bennett was born July 6 1891, the son of Abram B. and Emma Delphine Bennett, at Carthage. He was employed for the Chicago and North Western Railroad 47 years until retirieng in 1955. He was married to Ida V. Wendel.
Surviving in addition to his Widow, Ida, are two sons, Lester W., DesPlaines, Ill.; L. Ardway, Huron, five grandsons, Reed in Vietnam, Mark, Scott, Kevein and Brook and seveal nieces including Mrs. Joe Van Buskirk, Hitchcock.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church, BPOE and Huron Volunteer fire department 27 years.
