After Eye Operation
MONTICELLO — Miss Susan
Marie Adamson, six-year-old dau-
ghter of Robert and Grace (Van
Deman) Adamson. died at 4:30 p.
m. Thursday in White county Me-
morial hospital.
Her death occurred following
an eye operation. Her heart stop-
ped beating during the surgery
but was started again when sur-
geons opened her chest cavity and
massaged her heart.
Later in the afternoon, however,
the little girl's heart stopped
again.
Born in Lafayette on Jan. 6,
1950, she is survived by the pa-
ents, a sister, Pamela Ann, and
a brother, Stephen Paul, both at
home, grandparents, Mrs. Marie
Hanna, Monticello; Mrs. Mildred
Furrow, Des Moines. and Willard
VanDeman, Monticello; and a
great-grandmother, Mrs. Lucy Van
Deman, MonticeHo. , I
Final rites will be conducted at ]
2 p. m. Saturday at the Miller!
chapel with the Rev. Gilbert Piker |
officiating. Burial will,be made in
Riverview cemetery. Friends may
call at the chapel after 6 p. m
