MAMIE CATHLEEN HEDRICK SAMPSON ESHBAUGH, age 80 years, a resident of Delaware Avenue, Elkins, West Virginia, departed this life Saturday morning, June 4, 2005 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, West Virginia.

She had been in declining health for the past six months.

She was born Monday, April 20, 1925 at Durbin, West Virginia a daughter of the late James Hedrick and Dolly Wilfong Hedrick.

She was twice married. First to Edward Sampson, who preceded her in death during 1963.

On November 28, 1964 at Elkins, West Virginia, she was married to Kenneth Max Eshbaugh, who preceded her in death October 20, 2004.

Surviving are one son, Richard Sampson and wife Sandra, Beverly, one half brother, Tom Hedrick, Lumberport, one half sister, Dolly Rampley, Baltimore, Maryland, seven grandchildren, Christina Hinchman, Cindy Burkey, Missy Anello, Melinda Taylor and Ronald Sampson, all of Elkins, Mary Jo Daniels, Beverly, Nancy Swecker, Cleveland, Ohio, two step grandchildren, Mary Johnson and Susan Moats, both of Elkins, fourteen great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death besides her parents and husband are three daughters, Sandra K. Sampson Rohr, Cheryl Sampson Swecker and Lois Eshbaugh, two sons, Ronald Pete Sampson and Jeffery "Jeff" Sampson, five brothers, Walter, Ken, Harry, Arthur and Peck Hedrick, one half brother, Calvin Hedrick, one half sister, Nettie Brewster, two grandchildren, Steven Rohr and Michael Swecker, five step daughters, Stella Arnold, Unavale Burns, Eileen Martine, Helen Kosonic and Genieve Gregory and one step son, Delbert "Buck" Sampson.

Mamie had worked in the housekeeping department at Nella's Nursing Home for many years, enjoyed spending time with her family, most of all her grandchildren and will be greatly missed.

She was a Nazarene by faith.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 from 11 AM to 1 PM, the funeral hour.

The Reverend Terry A. Burgess will officiate and interment will follow at the Maplewood Cemetery at Elkins, West Virginia.
