ALVINA FISCHER
Mrs. Henry Fischer, 92, formerly of Rt. 2, Two Rivers, and mother of the late Atty. Lyman Fischer, died Sunday morning at Manitowoc County Hospital where she had been a patient two years.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Emanuel Evangelical United Brethren Church, Two Rivers, the Rev. M.J. Roehrdanz officiating. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.
Mrs. Fischer, nee Alvina Witt, was born Jan. 20, 1869, in the Town of Two Rivers, a daughter of the late August and Fredericka Tegge Witt. She was married July 6, 1889 (sic), in the Town of Two Rivers to Henry Fischer, who died Jan. (sic) 19, 1952. The couple celebrated its golden wedding anniversary in 1939 and the diamond anniversary in 1949.
Surviving are two sons, Warren, a retired Wisconsin State College professor at Whitewater, and Judge Robert H. Fischer, of Shawano; five grandchildren and five
great grandchildren. A nephew, Reuben Witt, of Whitewater had made his home with the Fischer family for many years. A son, Atty. Lyman Fischer, preceded her in
death three years ago.
Friends may call at Klein and Stangel Inc., Funeral Home, Two Rivers, until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when the casket will be taken to the church where the body will lie
in state until the time of services.
