Owen Eugene Murry...Born in Ballyshannon, County Donegal, Ireland...Believe he married his wife Margaret Whalen in Ireland and came to America abt. 1855. Came to Missouri via the Port of New Orleans and up the mighty Mississippi River.
The Murry's would jump across Jefferson County and St Francois County lines several times before finally staying near the small town of French Village, MO. Father of five children. Two sons and three daughters. After his wife died in 1891 he moved to Texarkana, Ark. and lived with his daughter Mary Ann Sweeney. He would live for just a short while longer and died in 1893. Owen was a wood sawyer for a profession.
