George Whitson Procter, 64, of Alamo, Texas, and formerly of Rogersville, Mo. was born August 29, 1943, and passed away December 10, 2007. He retired as a union ironworker after 23 years of service. George was a member of First Baptist Church of Rogersville, Mo. He was also a member of the Henderson Lodge No. 477 A.F. & A.M. of Rogersville, Mo. George was preceded in death by his father, Allie Procter. He is survived by his loving wife, Lydia Procter; children, George D. and wife, Nancy Procter, Ginger G. Procter and Angela J. Procter; his mother, Maxine Spivy; seven grandchildren, Brandi and Laci Buckingham, Mikayla, Keriahna and Ashten Nichols, Tristan and Jacob Procter; one great-grandson, Kegan Russell; three brothers and their wives, Harold and Alberta Procter, Clarence and Connie Procter, Keith and Kathy Procter; sister Lois and her husband, Earl Porter; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2008, in First Baptist Church of Rogersville, Mo. In respect for those with allergies, it is requested no perfumes be worn. Private graveside services will follow the funeral. In lieu of flowers, please send contributions in George's memory to the First Baptist Church of Rogersville.
