Robert C. Jarosh, age 85, of Manitowoc, entered eternal life on Sunday, October 26, 2014 at his residence.

Bob was born on December 25, 1928 in Manitowoc. He was the son of the late Joseph and Anita Shimek Jarosh. Bob was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1946. Bob then became employed with the Aluminum Goods until January 8, 1950 when he entered the Unites States Army. He was honorably discharged December 1952. Bob then returned to Manitowoc and returned to his job at the Aluminum Goods until 1957 when he became employed with the Manitowoc City Fire Department. For the next 30 years Bob worked his way up to the rank of Captain and retired in 1987. After retiring from the Manitowoc City Fire Department he became employed with Braun Building for the next 18 years. On June 30, 1951 he married Bernice "Bee" Hornes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on September 4, 2014. Bob was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church and a life time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. Bob enjoyed many sports. He played football and softball in his younger days. Later Bob took up horseshoes and enjoyed pitching horseshoes in the Two Rivers League. Bob won his state tournament class in 1990. He is a member of the Lakeshore All-Sports Hall of Fame, Manitowoc Semi-Pro Football Hall of Fame, Lakeshore Horseshoe Hall of Fame and the Manitowoc County Softball Hall of Fame. Bob was well known for his sense of humor and practical jokes.

Bob is survived by four children: John (Bridget) Jarosh, Cape Coral, FL; Robert R. Jarosh, Manitowoc, WI; Debra Khalil, Manitowoc, WI; Julia (Garey) Noel, Riverview, FL; eleven grandchildren who were his partners in crime: Jack and Matt Mitchell; Maureen, Sean and Patrick Jarosh; Nadia, Melissa and Mia Khalil; Julian Andrews, and Lauren and Helena Noel; six great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Theodore and Rosie Jarosh, Neenah, WI; Dorothe Jarosh, Manitowoc, WI; a special niece: Kimberly Oleson, Sobieski, WI; along with other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Anita Jarosh; his wife: Bernice "Bee" Jarosh, September 4, 2014; daughter: Carol Mitchell in 2004; and two sisters and three brothers.

Memorial services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 31, 2014 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo, 1121 North 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Dave Pleier. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery with military graveside rites being accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Otto Oas Post #659. Following the graveside services there will be a luncheon for relatives and friends at the Harrigan Parkside Gathering Center located on the south property of the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Cremation has taken place at the Harrigan Parkside Crematory and Chapel. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church on Waldo on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m.
