Mr. Byrd entered into this life on July 31, 1945 in Lumberton, North Carolina, the son of the late Carson T. Byrd Sr. and Mary Leona Jackson Byrd. He had proudly served in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the venerable 11th Armored Calvary “Blackhorse Regiment”. He was also a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. Following his service to country, he worked as a supervisor at Johnson Control in Cadiz, KY and Ebonite International in Hopkinsville. Mr. Byrd was a parishioner at the St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Oak Grove.
He is survived by his loving wife, June, three brothers and three sisters.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held October 30, 2014 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church . Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
