Born June 18, 1904, in Decatur Township, the son of Walter and Pearl Lewis Broughton, he was married Nov. 26, 1928, to Rose Lederman in Albany. He had farmed in Albany Township most of his life.
Surviving are his wife; three sons, Walter, Hollandale, Harlan, Albany, and Coburn Jr., at home; five daughters; Mrs. Karl Klossner and Mrs. Virgil Christensen, both of Rockford, Mrs. Nelson Malkow, Monticello, Mrs. Glen Malkow, Belleville, and Mrs. Harry Prien, Monroe; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald, Edgerton; two sisters, Mrs. Roy Sellhow and Mrs. Genevieve Stephenson, both of Monroe.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow in Newcomer Funeral Home where friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
