Allen R. Anderson was born on Red Oak Knob, Webster County, WV. He lived in Webster County his entire life except for a brief tour in the Navy. He owned the Anderson Store Company and was a devoted husband and father to his five daughters. Allen was an active member of the Masonic Lodge on the local and state level serving as a Grand Lecturer.
