John Thubron Cawthorn, 48, died suddenly Monday evening at his home in Springbank following a heart attack.
He was born in Sunderland, Durham, England, and came direct to Springbank in 1911, where he had since farmed.
Surviving are his wife: two daughters, Wilda and Rhoda May, four sons, Roy, Benjamin, John Albert and Joseph, all of Springbank; two brothers, Benjamin and James, both of Calgary; three sisters, Mrs. W. Carnill, Edmonton; Mrs. R.E. Thomas, Salmon Arm, B.C.; and Mrs. E.C. Knight, Calgary.
His father died in Calgary, June 1943, and his mother in October, 1938.
Rev. E.H. Maddocks will conduct services Thursday at 4 p.m. at Jacques' chapel. Burial will be in Burnsland cemetery.
