Funeral services for Archie Knight, 42, of Jacksonville, were held this afternoon at 2 o’clock from the West Side Baptist Church in Jacksonville by the Revs. D. E. Wood and Archie Gardner. Burial was in the Jacksonville City Cemetery. Johnston Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Knight died Monday in the Gadsden Baptist Hospital following a brief illness.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Lucille Knight of Jacksonville; three daughters,
Mrs. Rudolph Entrekin of Piedmont, Rt 2;
Misses Sara and Joyce Knight of Jacksonville;
four sons,
James, Edward, Wallace and Billy Wayne,
and his mother, Mrs. Ellen Knight;
a brother, Elbert Jackson Knight, Jr. all of Jacksonville;
two half-brothers, Cecil and Luther Knight, both of Oxford,
and a grandchild.
The nephews were pallbearers.
