Mrs. Samuel Freye, 59
, 2321 14th street, Two Rivers, a life long resident of that city and active in church work at the Emanuel Evangelical church for many years, died at the Municipal hospital there Thrusday afternoon.
Mrs. Freye, nee Amanda Rohde, had been in ill health for the past five years. Her condition grew grave the past week and she was removed to the hospital Tuesday.

Funeral services will be held from the Emanuel Evangelical church in Two Rivers at 1:30 Saturday afternoon. The Rev. Franklin E. Schlueter will officiate and burial will be in Pioneers' Rest cemetery. The body may be viewed at the Klein and Stangel, Inc., funeral home this evening and until 11 o'clock Saturday morning when it will be moved to the church to lie in state until the time of the services.
Mrs. Freye was born in Two Rivers on January 23, 1883 and would have reached her 60th birthday the 23rd of this month. She was the daughter of the late Herman and Freida Beeck Rohde. Her father was a foreman at the old pail factory operated by Mann Brothers in the 1880's.
Active in church work since she was a young woman, Mrs. Freye was a charter member of the Emanuel Evangelical church Ladies' Aid society and was instrumental in the group's organization in 1904. She was also a member of the Martha Circle of that group and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
On November 9, 1905 she married Samuel P. Freye who survives with two sons, two sisters and two brothers. The sons are Lowell of Milwaukee and Earl of Mankato, Minn. Surviving sisters are Mrs. Alma Albrecht of Manitowoc and Mrs. Alvina Behrens of Two Rivers and the surviving brothers are Emil and Richard Rohde of Two Rivers.
Two grandchildren also survive.
