MONETT DAILY TIMES---March 18, 1949
Funeral services will be at 2:30 P.M. Sunday for Mrs. Nelle Alice Green, 57, of Pierce City who died at 5 P.M. Wednesday in St. Vincent's Hospital. The rites will be conducted by Rev. Basil Mote, Pineville Methodist pastor, in the Wilks Brothers Funeral Chapel at Pierce City.
Burial will be in the Pierce City Cemetery.
Born in Stanberry, Mo., Oct. 8, 1891, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Decker, she came to Pierce City with her parents when she was four years old and had resided here since.
She received her education in the Pierce City schools and was employed her by the Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for twelve years, most of which time she was chief operator. She was married in 1916 to Horace Green. The past 11 years, they have operated the Green dairy.
Survivors are the husband and a son, Pat, of the home; three sisters, Mrs. W. B. Legande, Tulsa and Mrs. Joe Szydloski and Mrs. Arch Riddle, Pierce City; three brothers, C. A. Decker, Walnut Grove, Calif.; D. W. Decker, Pittsburg, Kan., and H. A. Decker, Pierce City. All the relatives will be here for the funeral except C. A. Decker.
