Elizabeth J. DeMoss, 73, of Connersville died Wednesday, July 12, 2006 at her residence.

A Connersville native, she was born July 6, 1933 to Christopher and Nellie Fern Hamilton Rowe and attended Connersville area schools.

On September 2, 1950, she was married at the First Baptist Church to Nolan E. DeMoss who died July 12, 1999. She was a content Mother of five children and always enjoyed a good laugh. She was the author of several novels and books offering a glimpse of her life. In her leisure time, she enjoyed crafts, art and painting in all mediums.

Survivors include her five daughters and their spouses: Vicki and Walter Brown, Jr.; Rita L. and Lynn Goodner, Jr.; Amy L. Horn and her companion Darryl Bates; Mona J. and John Rowland, all of Connersville; Nola J. and Patrick McGlothen of Sheridan, AR; three sisters: June Baldwin and her husband, Foster; Vera Bailey, Sarah Shepard, all of Connersville; seven grandchildren: Julie Keith, Justin Brown, Michael Rowland, all of Connersville; Lynn Goodner III, Todd Goodner, both of Indianapolis; Sherry Eggleston and her husband, Mike of Phoenix, AZ, Ryan McGlothen of Sheridan, AR; three great-grandchildren: Michael Eggleston III, Sydney and Sarah Keith; several nieces and nephews.

Her parents, husband, two grandchildren: Walter H. Brown III and James A. Brown; two sister: Billie Stang and Nettie Bush; three brothers: Delbert, Joseph, and Phillip Rowe preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Showalter Blackwell Long Funeral Home, Myers Chapel, Connersville with Rev. Diana McCracken of the Grace United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Lick Creek Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday where memorial contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House.
